The Warriors system is a composite of the various styles and systems studied by Abner Pasa. The main systems being that of the Largo Mano System, Excalibur System, Pangamot System, Espada y Daga System, Sikaran, Balintawak System and a host of other styles.

The development of very high skills in fighting can not be the only goal in Eskrima. Admittedly, survival was a strong determination in the study of the art in ancient times. However, practical realities today demands that the ultimate goal of the art must shift from merely surviving to that of living. The development of ones potential for his betterment, redounding to the benefit of his community. This direction has greatly influenced the development of the system.

Only a select few are allowed to study and practice the real art. The main goal in the past was to preserve the art. The training syllabus has been kept simple. Lessons on individual techniques were called Basic Training. Emphasis at this level is on the understanding of the proper and effective execution of the individual techniques taught.

Combinations and complications arising from the practical applications of a technique is de-emphasised. Once a student has developed the ability to execute the techniques properly he is allowed to move into the Advanced Training format. Advanced training involves the development of a students personal fighting system. The effective applications of the techniques are now emphasised. Mastery of this level leads to a certificate as an instructor.


This style of Filipino martial art was founded by Grand Master Abner Pasa of Cebu. It is based on his training with other Masters of the Filipino arts including Eulogio Canete, Vicente Karin, Laborio Herosa, Larry Alcuizar, Tanny del Campo and other masters of the Filipino martial arts. The style is also based on his real life experiences of having to defend himself using the arts he had learned.

Warriors Eskrima has been introduced to the United Kingdom and Europe by Krishna Godhania, who has studied on a one to one basis with Grandmaster Pasa for over ten years and has reached the rank of Pangulong Guro. Krishna has a network of area Representatives who teach the complete syllabus of traditional Eskrima as well as incorporating new innovations such as stick grappling into the syllabus.


Study of this highly effective & empowering martial art will include the following disciplines. Weapons: Single Stick, Double Stick, Stick Grappling, Knife, Stick & Knife, Sword & Knife, Flexible Weapons, Projectiles. Empty Hand: Filipino Boxing, Filipino Kickboxing, Grappling, Throws & Takedowns. Though known as the art of stick fighting by many, Eskrima has a highly developed empty hand system - called Pangamut. Pangamut contains a unique boxing program called Panantukan, a kickboxing program called Sikaran and a Grappling program called Dumog. Drills and techniques taught in a fluid, non-restrictive manner allow students to enhance their natural attributes and improve their sense of timing, speed, awareness, reactions, balance, agility and confidence.

This formerly secret martial art is unique in its emphasis on flow and improvisation. It is this aspect which makes it so effective and intellectually stimulating to learn.

Warriors Eskrima - Ireland provides high quality instruction with well structured, progressive classes for its students and regular grading opportunities throughout the year. Warriors Eskrima can be studied by those aged 16 years and above. It is for anyone who wishes to gain not only the ability to defend themselves but who also wishes to develop self-esteem and self discipline. There is no need initially to be very strong or have a great deal of stamina. The training will itself develop these attributes over a very short period of time. You do not need to have any previous martial arts experience or qualifications. In essence all you need to have is enthusiasm and the desire to try something new!
